About Us

Network Sentry is a managed security services provider operating in the Chicagoland area since 2008. We were initially founded thanks to our passion for network security monitoring. But because each of us have served more encompassing roles in Information Security, our true goal is a bit less specific. That is to help protect organizations from the increasing and pervasive threats from the Internet.

Back when the Internet was less hostile, one could get by with antivirus. As broadband became more popular, a firewall was needed too. Fast forward to today, and you also need to be equipped with intrusion detection, patch management, spam filtering and educated users. This is not to mention testing your exposure through vulnerability scans and penetration tests.

Most companies do not have a dedicated security staff to manage all those pieces or even monitor them so they are provided with valuable intelligence. We provide our customers with this missing piece. Even if they already have a security staff, our customers come to us to help lighten the load by "offsourcing" tasks and allowing our expertise to provide added value.

Speaking of expertise, each member of our team is acutely trained as evidenced by the abundant industry certifications we hold. What's more is we are all active members in the security community. You can rest assured because our focus on security differentiates us from other providers who are the jack of all trades, but the master of none.
